Bio

Multidisciplinary artist and designer. Paris, France, 1978.

With over 15 years of experience as a visual artist, Jean-Philippe has collaborated with renowned brands like Ernst & Young, LVMH, Cartier, Adidas, and Disney.

Driven by a passion for creativity and a desire to share it, he embraced an academic career as an associated lecturer in art and design in higher education at LCCA (London College of Contemporary Arts) for nearly five years. There, he contributed to Graphic Design curriculums, designed content, and shaped tasks to empower students.

Despite the rewarding challenges of academia, his passion for creativity led him back to a full-time creative career, where his professional journey revolves around the intersection of art and design.

Art Statement

Jean Philippe’s work centers around a deep observation of the urban environment. He approaches the city like an archeologist, exploring urban wastelands during his wanderings, seeking out elements that often escape our notice. Through his art, he raises questions about our cultural heritage and the traces we will leave behind for future generations.

Materials play a crucial role in his artistic exploration, with a consistent focus on using concrete, plaster, ceramic, and polyester resin. These materials serve as the foundation for his work, enabling him to create what he refers to as an "archeology of the present." Drawing inspiration from architecture and human artifacts, he crafts pieces that aim to rehabilitate and reimagine the overlooked heritage of the mundane.
